Junior Leage

The Junior League is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. Its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable. Junior Leagues reach out to women of all races, religions and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to volunteerism. Women building better communities - that’s the Junior League.

This year, we have an exciting new project to tell you about! It is called Hands are Not for Hitting. It is a three-year program that serves as a conflict resolution curriculum for second graders. This program will run from June, 2007 through June, 2010 and provides 2nd graders in partner schools (all located in Lancaster County) with the tools and ability to resolve conflicts with reason. Proceeds from the Run4Luck will help the Junior League of Lancaster fund this exciting new project! Please log onto our website for additional information: www.jllancaster.org
